Other events post-Festival

Short Film Festival Filmdipeso also starred at the Food Film Fest of Bergamo: the short film winner of the Città di Latina Award, “La faim va tout droit” by Giulia Canella, will be in competition in the Food Movie category and Filmdipeso will have a space within the event .

Food Film Fest, promoted by the Cultural Association Art Maiora and the Chamber of Commerce of Bergamo, now in its fifth edition, wants to spread a culture of conscious nutrition through an international film competition that brings together films from all over the world (short and feature films, documentaries and animated films) related to the theme of taste, culinary art, proper nutrition and food production, biodiversity and gastronomic memory as a collective heritage to be preserved.
The event will take place from August 28 to September 1 in Bergamo at Piazza Mascheroni and Sala Curò in Città Alta.

Tuesday 9th April 2019

The “First Italian Obesity Summit”, promoted by IBDO Foundation, took place in Rome. Experts, researchers and authorities participated at the Summit during which they confirmed obesity to be a real disease. Everyone therefore agrees that obesity is a chronic disease and that obese people are patients that need to be taken care of and need to be properly treated. All age groups can be affected by obesity, it can start during the fetal phase. Prevention is of fundamental importance in order to reverse the increasing trend especially in socially deprived contexts and it has been repeatedly emphasized that it is time to act. At the Summit an area was dedicated to the Short Film Festival Filmdipeso, which took place in Latina three days before. In the dedicated area people could watch two short films. The participants took interest in the short films and they were impressed by the initiative.
