Extract from the Contest Rules
The Bariatric Center of Excellence at the Sapienza University of Rome – Polo Pontino, Complex Operative Unit (UOC) General Surgery – in partnership with the City of Latina, the non-profit organization Amici Obesi, Villa Miralago – Eating Behavior Health Center and SAFE – Safe Food Advocacy Europe – announces the fourth “Filmdipeso” Award dedicated to short films and short documentaries. The Festival aims to promote correct eating habits, as well as to increase public awareness of the issues of those living with obesity and eating disorders. The Festival also aims to disclose the social, psychological and interpersonal impact these disorders have on teenagers and adults as well as fight the stigma that is associated to it.
The Festival will take place on 17-04-2020 (4:30 – 8:30 p.m.) with the first screening session and on 18-4-2020 (4:30 – 9:00 p.m.) with the second screening session that will be followed by the award ceremony.
The Festival will take place at the Oxer Cinema, located in via Mario Lauro Pietrosanti, 124 – Latina, Italy.
Submission of the short films and participation to the Festival is completely free. Applicants will also have to pay for shipping costs. The selection will only consider applicants who sent their registration form at:
Conditions of participation
Submission forms (see the attached document) must be sent to the aforementioned email address and must include the following material:
- the Registration Form, which must be duly filled and signed (penalty of exclusion), available online at www.filmdipeso.it;
- photocopy of personal ID or passport;
- link to a streaming copy of the movie available on YouTube or Vimeo;
- short synopsis;
- director’s notes;
- brief CV of the director (only if he/she is a professional);
Synopsis and director’s CV may be used to promote the event. Participants automatically authorize “Filmdipeso” Short Film Festival to screen the selected films, free of charge.
